Mrs: Higgens: "I'm not very sure why he continues to do this, I guess he must not understand yet. I can do nothing else to help him, he's got to learn on his own now. Such a pity that he can't hold back from stealing, or even keep just a simple job to help out. Oh but his siblings are well off and married, I wonder what will happen to him? Oh dear how am I going to break this news to his father later on? It's such a disappointment yet again, but I guess that's all I expect from him now"
The Lottery: this story is completely bewildering to me, because they can stop at any time if they wanted to. Nobody shows mercy to anyone else, and they think it's all a game. It's also ironic that the person who "wins" the lottery, is the one who gets stoned by everyone else in the community, including their family.
Tim: very against war and how unfair it is, very sympathetic and feels guilt for killing another being
Kiowa: accepts war, even though he doesn't feel it is fully right, he still participates
Azar: thinks everything is a joke, including war. Does not feel any emotion towards anything
